My Story

Hi, my name is Katie Luu. I am a student photographer at the University of Southern Maine and my favorite subject matter is people. I am an outgoing, energetic person with a bit of an adventurous side as well. I love to travel and to try new things. I was taught at an early age about the value of hard work and enjoying everything you do.

Although born in America, My Asian heritage has always been a big part of my life. My parents own a well established and highly regarded Chinese restaurant in Auburn, Maine, I have always enjoyed, even as a kid, being there and meeting new people. It has been and still is very rewarding for me.

Taking photographs and working with clients is equally as rewarding and is a passion of mine. Seeing smiles on peoples faces when they see the final result is worth every ounce of energy that I put into my work and I look forward to each and every photo session that I take on.

My preferred style of photography centers around capturing the moments that people can look back on and remember how they felt in that very moment. Though I am currently more experienced and familiar with portrait photography, I am always open to learning and exploring more options!
